Teenager Remanded for Stabbing a 26-Year-Old Man to Death With Broken Bottle.

A teenager, Tunde Babayemi, who allegedly stabbed a 26-year-old man to death with a broken bottle in Lagos, is to remain behind bars for at least 30 days.
An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates' Court which gave the order on Friday, said Babayemi, 18, should be kept at Ikoyi Prisons.
Chief Magistrate A.O. Ajibade said: "The accused should be remanded at Ikoyi Prisons for the first 30 days pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)."
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the accused, who resides at No. 23b, Anumo St., off Naika Ajegunle, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and murder.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp. Gbemileke Agoi, told the court that the offences were committed on Nov. 7, 2015 at about 5.00 p.m. at Olayinka Street, Ajegunle.
According to Agoi, there was a street fight and Babayemi, who was armed with a broken bottle, stabbed Wale Ayoola, 26, to death.
He said the offences contravened Sections 221 and 231 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
NAN also reports that Section 221 prescribes a life sentence for offenders.
The case was adjourned till Feb. 15.
